The best thing you can do right now is stay safe, and keep an eye on the journal network. Everything has patterns. I've taught you that in magic, and it applies to everything else as well. If you can find the pattern to these disappearances, you may find what you're looking for.

Besides, as long as you're not missing, you're already thwarting the other side's plans. As long as one soul can draw breath and stand up against the oncoming tide, there's hope.
